Steve Maxwell Von Braund - Monster Planet (1974)

Gifted synthesiserist and second-rate saxophonist Steve Maxwell von Braund liked to hang out in his state-of-the-art home studio and record space-rock bespoke opuses wearing nothing but a kimono, mullet and handlebar moustache for the benefit of other fashion-conscious band members who grace the back of this delightful, hand-painted sleeve. Musically this is proto-trip-hop and probably the nearest thing to Krautrock that Austaralia was ever likely to witness.
